The Beer Store is the province’s largest beer retailer and offers Ontario’s best selection of brews. While most stores are closed May 19 for Victoria Day, 82 retail locations will remain open for last-minute shoppers.

In a news release, the Beer Store said it encourages customers to plan ahead and stock up before the long weekend.

“After the holiday, remember to return your empty alcohol containers to your local Beer Store as part of our commitment to environmental sustainability,� the retailer added.

The Beer Store is also holding a bottle drive event Saturday, May 24, in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada.

All LCBO stores are closed for Victoria Day, May 19, in accordance with Ontario’s . Visit for a store locator.

LCBO convenience outlets are generally closed on Victoria Day as well.

Convenience stores

Convenience stores with alcohol retail licences are allowed to sell beer, wine, cider and ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages on holidays, but only between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Check the provincial government’s to find a location near you.
