A weekend-long party will bring back many musical acts
The Wooly Pub, a beloved öÏÓãÊÓÆµapp restaurant and bar, has been a favourite hangout spot for 35 years. You can come this weekend to 176 Woolwich St. for live music, a market, food and drink specials, and lot of fun.

The Wooly Pub is celebrating 35 years with a weekend packed with live music in the backyard.
Organizers said the event they called Woolystock will run from Friday, June 20 to Sunday, June 22 at  It’s a weekend of love, music and memories, they said. There will also be some meaningful tributes to friends who made an impact. Admission is free.

Katherine White, general manager of the pub, said it’s hard to wrap her head around the Wooly being 35, with everything that has happened throughout the years. She said the anniversary party is for everyone who still visits, and all those they have lost along the way.
“The Wooly has seen a lot of change,†she said. “This place has been a fixture in downtown öÏÓãÊÓÆµapp for decades, not just as a pub, but as a meeting place, a safe space, a spot to laugh, cry, vent, dream, and most importantly, connect.â€

She said it’s a place where life happens. Staff has hosted first dates, last goodbyes, surprise parties, meetups, fundraising nights, community gatherings, staff birthdays and amazing live music events along the way.

White said she has managed the Wooly for a decade, and what makes it special isn’t the beer list or the food, though the staff is very proud of those. It’s the people.

“It’s the regulars, the kitchen crew who keep things moving on the craziest of nights, the staff who’ve become chosen family,†White said. “It’s the guests that bring their kids, and then one day those kids come back on their own.â€
Some people met there, had their first dates there, then went on to get married and have anniversary parties there, too, White said.
“So, yeah, we’re throwing a party,†White said. “But more than anything, we’re taking a moment to say thank you. Thank you for sticking with us, for showing up, and making the Wooly what it is. Here’s to 35 years of memories and to whatever comes next.â€

Saturday, June 21 — Alumni Day from noon to 10 p.m.
A musical reunion all day with DJ Chill Haze and a songwriters circle with Josh Gabriel, featuring Harry Follon, Hellion Ton, Meredith Grant, James Gordon, Lisa Bozikovic and Ian Reid.
Performers include Andrew McPherson, Marc De Vos and Adam Brown, Ambre McLean with Kristina Skeries, Mike Sharp and Local Honey, the Fonctionairres, the Dole Tinkers and Eclectic Vinyl Orchestra.
Sunday, June 22 — Friends of Mo’: A Tribute to Mo’ Kauffey from noon to 7 p.m.
Once on a Blues Sunday is hosted by the Kent Macmillan Band (with Kent MacMillan, Josh Broadbent, Atilla Toth and Mike Driscoll), and features performances by Jay Carraro, Lawnboy Johnson, Alfie Smith, Jesse Parent, and Nicole Christian.
